3 Pints Club

UNA NOS LUCROR
"Together We Win"
OK, that's 2017 done and it's been a very good year for the "3 Pints Club". We made a few changes and they seem to have made a beneficial difference. More people attended and we have raised a total of £1259 for the Injured Players Foundation. Thanks to everybody who supported this very worthy cause and maybe we can go up again next year...........

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE OFFER FREE COMPANY ADVERTISING ON THIS SITE FOR MEMBERS, OR A SMALL DONATION FROM FRIENDS, FAMILY OR OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES.
ALL MONEY RAISED GOES TO THE INJURED PLAYERS FOUNDATION (IPF) AT TWICKENHAM.
I would just like to thank Bridlington RFC and Driffield RFC for taking on the new collection boxes given to me by the IPF
It is just brilliant to get help from my new local clubs as well as my life club Alcester RFC and also Redditch RFC

Thanks for your support.......

Just in case you are not aware, we raised £465 last year.......

Unlike the blog, we will be able to put up photo galleries of each get together and I am glad to report that we now have a direct link from the Alcester RFC website.

I am sure that everybody knows the principal purpose of the "3 Pints Club" and that is to bring players together and raise funds for the RFU-IPF (Injured Players Foundation).

We meet 3 times a year at ARFC from 6.30pm onwards and it is always on a Thursday evening. It gives old and young players a chance to get together and have a few beers, remember the old times and consider the future. It also puts money behind the bar at the club which obviously helps it's ongoing finances. In other words we help others, help our club and see old and new friends - probably committing to about 9 hours per annum.

The most important part of this whole process is SUPPORT !

No pressure, just a fact. Without the support of old and young players + friends of the club this charitable process cannot possibly succeed. Every penny that is raised goes to the Injured Players Foundation and every drink that is purchased goes towards the financial future of Alcester Rugby Club.

This is not some kind of clique, it is an open and friendly opportunity to get like minded people together. There is nothing better than seeing a room full of old and new faces where the key words are fun and friendship. Believe me it beats having a couple of beers at a funeral and talking about somebody that you could have been talking too instead.

I am going to have a page with all the names of people who have been to previous get together's and have an official membership number. Try and picture the clubhouse with nearly one hundred people in it and imagine what the £300 odd raised on that night might do to help someone who has suffered an injury playing the game that we all love.
